Arriving via A1(M) or A19 e.g. from Nottingham/Manchester/Leeds
1. Head northeast on the A64 around York and over the Howardian Hills.
Pass the Norton/Helmsley exit.

2. Take the A169/B1257 exit toward Whitby/Pickering/Malton
3. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A169 towards Pickering
4. Go across the roundabout at Pickering onto the A169/NY Moors road towards Whitby.
5. Pass Fylingdales RAF Early-Warning Radar station.
6. When descending from the NY Moors pass through Sleights and cross the River Esk road bridge.
7. Ascend a steep hill. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A171 towards Whitby

Arriving via Scarborough e.g. from the Yorkshire Wolds, Hull, North Lincolnshire

1. Leave Scarborough on the A171/Scalby Road towards Burniston. Pass Scarborough Hospital & Yorkshire Coast College on your left. Pass Scarborough Rugby Club on your right.
Continue to follow A171
At Burniston go across the roundabout, passing the Jolly Sailors Public House on your right.
Beware of mobile speed cameras – this area has a strictly enforced 30mph limit!
Leaving Cloughton the road bears left and a steep hill leads onto the NY Moors.
Pass the Flask Caravan Park on your left.
2. After two quite severe bends on small hills turn left onto B1416.
Beware – quite a sharp right-hand bend after approx’ 2.0 miles, at May Beck.
3. Follow the road down through Sneaton and into Ruswarp –Beware of the sharp right-hand bend at the bottom of the hill!
4. Bear left over the River Esk road-bridge and level -crossing and pass the Church on your left.
5. Continue up the hill to the Four Lane Ends roundabout. Cross over the roundabout with the Petrol Station to your left.
6. Slight right onto Castle Rd/B1460 approaching Lidl Supermarket on the right
